The Christian Union is a mission team that operates on the campus of De Montfort University, in Leicester. Our aim is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by both ‘living for Jesus’ and ‘speaking for Jesus’. The CU is not a church, but instead works with local churches to spread the gospel message across campus. This work is undertaken with the support of University and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF). The CU is gospel-centred and nondenominational, and is student–led with the support of local church leaders and UCCF staff. 

We currently have around 40 members from a variety of backgrounds and upbringings. We are involved in many different activities including weekly prayer meetings, small groups and our main meetings on a Thursday. We also hold regular evangelistic events such as Tea and Toast and First contact. Also some social events which are held informally and offer CU members a great opportunity to invite their friends along and hear the gospel message.

Looking to start a new church in September? Every week we will be visiting different churches around Leicester, just meet up with other members of the Christian Union on campus and we'll take you there! With a few free student lunches  thrown in too!
